mapping la maga______home

 I base the drawings entitled, Mapping La Maga (the Magician) #1-6 on Julio Cortázar’s image of Cyclopses. La Maga is the nickname of an elusive character in his book.  My aim with the drawings is to turn the emotions of a kiss into a form: to personify a breath.  I attempt to locate a synthesis using Cortázar’s description of the Cyclopses in “Chapter 7” and the character La Maga as a guide.
